Actress Teri Hatcher has received an apology from the skin care company, which had sued her for endorsing a rival product. The Skin care company Hydroderm has apologized to the ‘Desperate Housewives’ star and has withdrawn the lawsuit. “Teri Hatcher is a woman of the highest integrity. We sincerely apologize for the adverse publicity resulting from our lawsuit,” People quoted Hydroderm spokesperson Joshua McCleary as saying. A statement released by the company said, “Hydroderm LLC has specifically retracted all accusations made against Teri Hatcher including that she endorsed any competing products.”
The 44-year-old actress has apparently received an undisclosed amount of money from the company.
Last year, Hydroderm had filed a 2.8 million dollars lawsuit that Hatcher had entered into an “exclusive endorsement deal” in 2005, only to sing the praises of City Cosmetics.
She responded that she had “done absolutely nothing wrong” and vowed to aggressively fight the lawsuit.
